5 Kinds of Blog Posts

You visited a few times and I would appreciate your thoughts on this post, why not comment?

Are you thinking of starting a Blog? Do you have a Blog that needs freshening up?

If you want to keep your Blog fresh and interesting, then you need to post often. You can create different types of posts to keep your readers interested. This will also keep you from getting bored with your own Blog. Whether blogging to make money directly from the Blog, or blogging to drive traffic to an Affiliate product, you should keep these five types of Blog posts in mind.

1. The Review Post

Review blog posts can help you to monetize your Blog. You will take a close look at a product and give a review of it. This can include an affiliate link to the product. When reviewing, be sure to mention BOTH positive and negative comments about the product. Even if you totally loved the product, keep your review balanced by mentioning a few things that could have been improved. Your readers will appreciate your honesty and be more likely to trust your recommendation.

2. The Quick Tip Post

In between your longer posts you can do a “quick tips” type of post. These are normally 150-250 words. Sometimes we have a lot of information about our niche that we want to share but it may not be worthy of a full length post. In that case, post a quick tip. This should be focused on ONE key area of the niche. For example, “How to Plant a Tulip Bulb” would be a quick tip article for a gardening Blog.

3. The List Post

Blog readers love lists! The most popular Blogs make good use of lists. You can create lists that fit with any topic imaginable. This is a great way to convey information online because it can be easily scanned by web readers who are “skimmers.” You can also create lists of different ways to accomplish a goal in your niche. “10 Ways To Prepare Your Soil For Planting” would be a great list for gardeners.

4. The Interview Post

Interviews will require some preparation, but they are very valuable to your Blog. Interview someone in your niche and then share the results of that interview with your readers. This will not only provide valuable content for your Blog, but will also bring more traffic. Most likely, the person you interview will also publicize the event on their Blog or Website, directing traffic to your Blog.

5. The Instruction Post

This is similar to Quick Tips as you are providing your readers with valuable information. However, these Instruction posts will go into much more detail on a certain topic. Sometimes your instructions can even be divided into two or three posts or courses. Look at comments and questions from your readers to find what topic would be most beneficial to your readers.

As you Blog, remember that your readers like variety. Do not always write the same type of post. Put a little variety in your Blog to keep it fresh.

Blogs Are The Lifeblood of Your Website

You visited a few times and I would appreciate your thoughts on this post, why not comment?

When trying to build a better search engine ranking for your website, you need to consider using blogs to help promote your site. Blogs are easy to use and can be a very effective tool to help you achieve an amazing boost in your sites search ranking and traffic as well. Using a blog can help you in several ways and it is important to know how to amplify their positive impact on your traffic.

The way a search engine ranks your page is based on a lot of factors, most of them a closely held secret. One of the factors that is known is how strong your site is linked to from other sites. The logic is that if other sites feel that your site represents a strong product or concept, you become important by association to the search ranking. Establishing these links is one of the most powerful ways you can impact your search rankings and website traffic.

Getting your links set up with a blog is easy and can have a pretty impressive impact fairly quickly. There are several ways of using blogs to establish these links and you should employ all of them to expand the impact. The simplest way to get started with this is by creating a blog about a keyword topic on your site that you want to improve the search rankings on. For example, if you want your site to be high in the rankings for “kites”, start a blog on kites and be sure to include the keyword “kites” in the title of the blog as well as any other secondary keywords you care about as well. Once this blog is up and running, you need to pepper the blog with links back to your main site. These links can be on the main page of the blog as well as in every article you publish to the blog.

Creating this blog is the first step, but you need to continually keep it updated with fresh and interesting content to keep your readers interested, and keep coming back to visit. Over time you will develop a decent traffic flow to the site, and some of them may click a link back to your site as well. The key here is that every time you publish a new article on the blog; make sure to inset a link back to your site. This increases your link count, and raises your search standing. Also, the more you update the blog, the more often the search engines will index your blog, and this frequency of update is another important ranking criteria.

In addition to your blog, there will be a wide universe of other blogs related to your keyword and you need to find these as well. You can read articles on these blogs and post comments on them, including a link back to your site. As you do more of this, you will get natural traffic from others that read your comments and visit your blog, and hopefully your site. The key thing here is that these links are indexed by the search engines and help raise your standing. This is an exercise that you can do in your spare time, and costs you nothing but a little time.

Another advantage that hosting a blog provides for you is the fact that as you post more, you soon become an expert on a particular topic. As others in the field recognize your name, your credibility will increase and additional opportunities to publish come your way. All the online periodicals are searching out content for their publications and usually reach out to experts in the field on a topic. having an article of yours published in these Ezines will help raise your rankings as well, based on the link.

One final place that a blog can help is on social networking sites. When you visit these sites and post comments on a topic, you can link to your blog or website and increase the link count. A lot of these sites will accept submissions of websites or blogs for review on a topic and this can have a very positive impact on both your traffic and search engine rankings if you get listed.

How To Have The Best Blog In Your Niche

You visited a few times and I would appreciate your thoughts on this post, why not comment?

A blog is nothing without its readers. Readers won’t keep coming back to a blog that is not interesting to them, so if you want to have the best blog in your niche then you will need to make sure that the content you post is always top quality interesting information that makes your readers want to come back to see the latest update.

Now, it seems that everyone is into blogging these days – moms and dads, teenagers, writers, musicians, artists and pretty much anybody else you can think of which means that literally anyone who wants to share something with others can simply write a blog.

However, not everyone can have the “best blog” though. Only those who are willing to put some time and effort into researching what their readers are hungry for and then finding ways to give it to them will reach the top.

The good news is that finding out what topics the readers in your niche are interested in and the way they like that information served up is really rather easy, and the answers you need are at the tips of your fingers.

All you need to do is type your “main niche keyword” followed by the word “blogs” into one or more of the search engines and you will see some of the most popular blogs in your niche. Your job then is to spend some time checking out what is being posted and commented about and what questions people are asking that perhaps you could provide the answers to.

Other things to look at are the way the blogs are laid out are they 1, 2, or 3 columns, how much color is being used and what colors are they, what is their header like, how are the links laid out, do they have short posts or long, how often do they post, and how are they using pictures, banners, and ad’s?

It is also a good idea to keep up to date with the latest developments, stories, events and products in your market as this will ensure that you always have interesting informative content to post to your blog which will entice your readers bag again and again on a regular basis.

If you put to use the insights you gained from researching your competition plus giving your readers a constant stream of fresh interesting posts to read they will come back time and again which will build a loyal following for you plus this will naturally grow as time goes on and people recommend your blog to friends family or colleagues.

It is good to remember that blog posts do not have to simply consist of text, you can use audios if appropriate and of course these days video is rapidly becoming more and more popular and by using these other forms of media in your posts these may help to give you an edge over your competitors blogs that are just using text, plus the videos and audios themselves may help to bring you more traffic.

At the end of the day if you put in the effort to find out what it is that your readers want and if you deliver it to them in the way they want it, they in turn will reward you by returning to your blog over and over and telling others about it which in turn will make sure that you have the best blog in your niche.
