The internet lifestyle has become a dream to so many. The idea of being able to work from your own home, enjoying more time with your own family, is a driving force behind many people’s desire to break free. This is no unachievable pipe dream either, thousands of people have already achieved it. Most of the aspirants who wish to join them find that one of the great stumbling blocks is deciding what to sell. Apart from porn, more people go on to the internet to search for information than anything else, and that makes information the ideal product to sell.
As well as being in demand, information products can be created very cheaply. Usually, the only expense involved in creating a digital information product is your own time, or the money you pay to a writer to have your product created. Creating a product yourself can sometimes seem a little bit daunting, but you have the whole of the internet to use as research.
Try to break your products down into chapters. This will make the progression of the book seem much more logical, and make the job of research much easier. As you are researching, have two documents open. The first will be for provisional research. Paste anything you find that is relevant into here. The second document will be for research which you find corroborated from another source. As soon as you can be absolutely sure that research is factual, move it to the proven folder.
When you have finished your research, you should have enough corroborated information to produce an accurate and informative product. The most important factor now is to write the whole ebook in your own words. Don’t be tempted to borrow even one sentence. If you want to add perceived value to your product, you can create an audio supplement using a free audio editor, or you can create a video if the content is suitable. If your time is more valuable than your money, you can outsource the creation of your product to a talented writer. Provided you are not looking to pay bottom of the barrel money, you will find someone talented and creative at info product creation.
Here is a great video on this subject by Kevin Riley:

How to sell Products on eBay
eBay is the world’s largest online auction site, and it is host to many thousands of online retailers who make either a part or full time living from their eBay businesses. Getting started with eBay is simple enough, and eBay has the advantage of having the traffic already built in. As with any other site, the first step is to register and open an account. If you are planning on using eBay seriously, then you will need two accounts eventually. This is because you never want to buy through your main selling account. If you have a dispute with the seller, and have to leave negative feedback, the seller may well leave retaliatory negative feedback for you. If you have bought through your selling account, that is where the negative feedback will end up.
When you are starting, it pays to buy a few cheap items through your selling account, and leave positive feedback for the people you have bought from. If they reciprocate, you will at least have some positive feedback when you come to start selling. From that point on, you should never again buy through your selling eBay account. Once you are registered on eBay, and have set up your PayPal account if you have not done so already, you can begin listing items immediately. The eBay site has very comprehensive instructions for every part of the process.
The one piece of hardware you can’t really manage without is a digital camera. Tests have proven beyond any doubt that listings with a photograph do far better than ones without. The only possible exception to this would be if you were selling information products, where you could take a screen shot of the info product and use that as a photograph. Assuming you have a digital camera, you will then need to source stock to sell, and also packing materials. Packing items well yet still being cheap on shipping charges is one good way of getting happy customers, who will hopefully become repeat customers.

How to sell informational products on eBay
It can’t be done, they say. Selling informational products on eBay. Every ebook which gets listed on eBay just gets listed for under a dollar, and no one can possibly make money from them. To a degree, the traditional wisdom is right, and there are certainly many ebooks selling for pennies, often by multiple sellers. What needs to be understood is that this is not always a negative phenomenon, or even unintended. Someone selling ebooks with master resell rights knows they will end up all over eBay being sold for pennies. That is what they intend to happen.
By selling an ebook with your links inside it in this way, there is the possibility that it will go viral and end up in the hands of far more people than it would have done had the vendor just sold it themselves with no resell rights. This is one approach, and there is nothing wrong with it as long as you know what you are doing, and why you are doing it. To be truthful, most information selling on eBay, even by a master of the art like John Thornhill, is done with the idea of capturing email addresses from eBay’s huge traffic stream, which can be used for future mailings.
Although you can, and should, make every possible use of your “About Me” page to advertise your own business and promote your sites, you also need to think about producing a large number of low priced value for money ebooks. Selling these will give the customer a good initial deal, and make them receptive to future offers. If they give you their email address, you can send them those offers directly, and any sales will be free of eBay fees. That is the primary function of selling information on eBay. Even if you only broke even on your eBay activity, it would still be more than worthwhile if it led to you building an eager list of customers, who you could then market future products to at extremely low charge.
